COVID-19 | The Health Ministry reported 2,783 new daily Covid-19 cases yesterday.
Active cases currently stand at 45,306, up 7.5 percent compared to 14 days ago.
New cases according to the states are as follows:

Negeri Sembilan (234)

Kedah (114)
Malacca (114)
Johor (89)
Putrajaya (65)
Sarawak (56)
Pahang (38)

Another nine deaths attributed to Covid-19 were reported yesterday, of which four were declared as "brought in dead".
Deaths were reported in Selangor (3), Kedah (1), Perak (1), Penang (1), Sabah (1), Sarawak (1) and Kuala Lumpur (1).
Over the past week, an average of 7.9 people were reported to have died of Covid-19, while the average for the past 30 days was 6.6, indicating that Covid-19 deaths are on the uptrend.
Since the start of the pandemic in March 2020, a total of 35,969 deaths have been attributed to Covid-19.
There were 204 deaths last month, up from 89 deaths in June.
There are 1,477 Covid-19 patients who are hospitalised of which 54 are in intensive care.
The highest number of admissions yesterday was recorded in Selangor (112) followed by Sabah (74) and Johor (69).
