PETALING JAYA: Kedah menteri besar Sanusi Nor has been acquitted of one charge of sedition by the Shah Alam High Court.
Judge Aslam Zainuddin made the decision after the prosecution informed the court that the Attorney-General’s Chambers (AGC) had accepted Sanusi’s representation to dismiss the two charges against him, reported Sinar Harian.
“The court orders Sanusi to be discharged and acquitted from one charge,” he said.
The Perikatan Nasional election director was charged with making seditious remarks against Selangor’s Sultan Sharafuddin Idris Shah last year.
