They defeated up-and-coming Chinese pair Bao Li Jing-Cao Zi Han in straight games in the semi-final at the Denmark Open.

The Malaysian world No 5 pair appeared to be in no mood for comprise, taking only 37 minutes to beat the 30th ranked Chinese pair 21-16, 21-14 and will meet a Japanese pair in tomorrow’s final.
Their opponents are either Sayaka Hirota-Ayako Sakuramoto or Sumire Nakade-Miyu Takahashi who will meet in the other semi-final later.
Today’s match was the first encounter between the two pairs.
Li Jing-Zi Han have been making a name for themselves in the World Tour circuit this year, winning the titles at the German Open, Thailand Open and Macau Open championships.
As for Pearly-Thinaah, the recent Asian Games bronze medallists are seeking their second title this year after winning the Indonesia Masters in January. Pearly-Thinaah have now reached three finals in the World Tour circuit this year.
The Denmark Open has historically been a disappointment for the pair, who were eliminated in the early rounds. This is only the second time Pearly-Thinaah have qualified for a World Tour Super 750 final, the last one being at the French Open in 2022.
Their final appearance at this championships strengthens their position on the qualifying list for the World Tour Finals in December where only the top eight are selected.
They are currently in the sixth spot and can expect to jump a slot or two after tomorrow. - FMT
