Zetrix AI Bhd owes the road transport department RM314 million in fees and summonses collected since May this year.

The MYEG Group subsidiary said the group’s immediate priority was to resolve the obligations and work towards restoring ZetrixI’s suspended services.
“The group recognises its responsibility to customers and remains committed to fulfilling its obligations to the government,” it said in a statement tonight.
Earlier today, transport minister Loke Siew Fook said the RM314 million in arrears that Zetrix owes the JPJ involves fees and summonses it had collected since May this year.
He said his ministry and JPJ would set a deadline for the arrears to be settled and take appropriate steps to recover the funds.
The government would consider lifting the suspension of Zetrix’s services once the debts have been cleared, he added.
JPJ suspended the firm’s services effective today, partly because of the firm’s unfulfilled obligations. - FMT
