Felda probe papers to be submitted to AGC next week

The police are expected to submit to the Attorney-General's Chambers next week, their investigation paper on the alleged dubious transfer of Felda-owned land, said inspector-general of police Mohamad Fuzi Harun today.
However, he refused to reveal the status of the investigation, merely saying it was ongoing.
"The investigation is still ongoing. We expect to make a submission to the AG's office possibly next week," he said.
When asked about the progress of the probe and whether it was near completion, Fuzi declined to comment, saying it depended on the ongoing investigation.
"Our officers are working seriously on this. (Submission) maybe at the end of next week," he told reporters at a press conference.
Last week, former Felda chairperson Isa Samad, had his statement recorded by the Bukit Aman police's Commercial Crime Department for several hours.
The probe is being conducted under Section 420 of the Penal Code for cheating.
Current Felda chairperson Shahrir Samad also said that a forensic audit on the Kuala Lumpur Vertical City project developed on the Felda-owned land had begun and is expected to be completed sooner than the anticipated 30 days.
Last month, it was reported that Felda was at risk of losing ownership of a strategic piece of land in Jalan Semarak, estimated to be worth RM200 million, when it was believed to have been transferred through an allegedly "dubious deal" in 2015.- Mkini
