Bersatu’s Temerloh division acting Youth chief Sharipul Fairuz Mohd Sharip lodged a report with the Registrar of Societies (ROS) in Putrajaya today claiming that the party’s inaugural annual general meeting held last Saturday violated Article 12.2 of its constitution.
He said due process was not followed in that delegates to the AGM were not elected at the division and branch levels.
“This is a problem at the grassroots level. With this report, I hope ROS will conduct a thorough probe,” he told reporters after the lodging report.
He was accompanied by the division’s chief Amerus Che Onn.
The AGM was held at Pusat Konvensyen Ideal, Shah Alam. It was attended by 941 delegates from 137 divisions.
This is the second report lodged on the same matter with the first done by the party’s former Youth executive committee member Mohamad Taufik Abas on Wednesday,
Bersatu is led by former prime minister Dr Mahathir Mohamad.
