Rosmah Mansor has claimed trial to a new charge in the RM5 million bribery case involving solar hybrid power projects in Sarawak.
The wife of former prime minister Najib Abdul Razak is accused of receiving RM5 million from Saidi Abang Samsudin, managing director of Jepak Holdings, via her aide Rizal Mansor.
Jepak Holdings had obtained an RM1.25 billion contract from the Education Ministry through direct negotiation.
Rosmah claimed trial to the charge under Section 16(a)(A) of the MACC Act 2009.
Kuala Lumpur Sessions Court judge Azura Alwi allowed Rosmah to maintain the RM1 million bail for her two previous bribery charges in connection with the project.
She set May 10 as the date of mention for the latest charge.
Rosmah pleaded not guilty in the Sessions Court last November to soliciting RM187.5 million and receiving RM1.5 million for the solar energy project.
