SELANGOR & PAHANG CROWN PRINCES LEAVE TMJ HIGH & DRY – DUO DENY INVOLVEMENT IN UMNO-LINKED ‘TEH TARIK’ SESSION: ONLY JOHOR PRINCE STILL SILENT – EVEN AS COPS START PROBE ON UMNO SUPREME COUNCIL MEMBER LOKMAN ADAM

KUALA LUMPUR: The Royal Malaysian Police has opened an investigation paper under the Communications and Multimedia Commission (MCMC) Act in connection with the Sesi Teh Tarik 4 Putera Mahkota Bersama Rakyat programme.
Inspector-General of Police Tan Sri Mohamad Fuzi Harun said this followed several police reports against UMNO Supreme Council Member Datuk Lokman Noor Adam.
“Yes, the police have received reports on the programme. For the time being, the investigation is made under the MCMC Act.
“However, we will see if there is a related act in the Penal Code which can be used to assist in the investigation,” he said at a press conference in conjunction with the launch of the Brickfields District Headquarters.
Also present were acting deputy Inspector-General of Police Datuk Seri Abdul Hamid Bador, Kuala Lumpur police chief Datuk Seri Mazlan Lazim and Brickfields District police chief Assistant Commissioner Ruslan Khalid.
“The police will probably call him (Lokman) to complete the investigation paper as soon as possible,” he added.
Yesterday, the Selangor Raja Muda’s office denied the involvement of Raja Muda Selangor Tengku Amir Shah Sultan Sharafuddin in the Sesi Teh Tarik 4 Putera Mahkota Bersama Rakyat organised by Umno.
Tengku Amir’s private secretary Saidatul Asyikin Muhammad Johar in a statement, expressed her regret that the photo of the Raja Muda Selangor was used without the permission of the Selangor Palace.
She said the public should not be easily influenced by false and misleading information without official confirmation from the palace.
Pahang Regent Tengku Hassanal Ibrahim Alam Shah Al-Sultan Abdullah also denied his involvement in the programme.
Palace sources said Tengku Hassanal had urged that his name not used by any party without palace permission.
On Monday, Lokman shared a poster of the programme on social media, which stated it would be held at Mahkota Parade, Banda Hilir Melaka, at 5.30pm yesterday.
The poster also featured a picture of Tengku Mahkota Johor Tunku Ismail Sultan Ibrahim, Raja Muda Selangor Tengku Amir Shah Sultan Sharafuddin, Tengku Mahkota Pahang Tengku Hassanal Ibrahim Al-Sultan Abdullah and an unnamed prince.
However, an hour later, Lokman said the event would most likely not take place because he had received several phone calls.
