The Kelantan Health Department denied that it had issued a directive on the enforcement of conditional movement control order (MCO) in the state which went viral on the WhatsApp application today.
Its director Dr Zaini Hussin (above) said the department and the National Security Council (NSC) had never issued such directive, purportedly to commence at 12am today.
“I hope members of the public will not be influenced by fake news. Perhaps, it was spread by irresponsible parties to create panic among the Kelantanese,” he said to Bernama.
Earlier today, a viral message claiming that the Kelantan Health Department with MKN had agreed to implement a conditional MCO in the state, due to the increasing Covid-19 cases, effective Nov 17 at midnight, making its rounds on the WhatsApp application.
Currently, the conditional MCO is being implemented in all states in the peninsula, except Kelantan, Pahang and Perlis, which are placed under the recovery MCO.
