KUALA LUMPUR: Starting Nov 23, a new TV Pendidikan (Educational TV) programme will be aired on NTV7 to provide students with learning materials during the Conditional Movement Control Order (CMCO).
The Education Ministry in a statement today said Media Prima Berhad (MPB) had agreed to collaborate with the ministry to broadcast the DidikTV@NTV7 educational programme on NTV7.
This new initiative is in addition to the TV Pendidikan slot currently broadcast on Radio Television Malaysia (RTM) (via TV Okey) and Tutor TV on Astro.
"The TV Pendidikan programme aims to increase students' access to learning materials through alternative platforms, besides online learning.
"For now, the TV Pendidikan slot on NTVY will be aired from Nov 23 until Dec 31. The programme will be broadcast for three hours Monday to Friday from 9am to 12pm.
With this collaboration, the TV Pendidikan slots will increase to nine hours daily and will be broadcast from Monday to Friday, it said.
"The ministry believes that the collaboration with MPB will benefit students, teachers and parents to enable the teaching and learning (PdP) process to be implemented more widely, especially in today's challenging environment."
The ministry also said discussions were underway with MPB on plans to continue the slot until 2021.
The programme schedule can be found on the ministry's official site at www.moe.gov.my or on the ministry social media pages Facebook, Instagram and Twitter @KemPendidikan. - NST
