Seremban CMCO restrictions in brief

 


The Negeri Sembilan government released a detailed list of restrictions today ahead of the imposition of the conditional movement control order (MCO) for the Seremban district which takes effect on midnight.

There are some slight variations to the rules being applied on Klang Valley regions and Sabah.

Although the National Security Council decides conditional MCO restrictions, state governments have authority to finetune the rules.

Travel

Cross-district travel is not allowed, except for work with proper documentation.

Only two persons from each household are allowed to travel together.

Limited business hours

  • 6am to 10pm for any business that sells food, grocery stores, petrol stations.
  • 8am to 10am for any shopping centre and supermarket.
  • 6am to 2pm for wet markets and farmers markets.
  • 4am to 2pm for wholesale markets.
  • 4pm to 10am for night markets.
  • 8am to 10am for pharmacies and medical halls.
  • All other businesses are unaffected.

Schools

  • All institutions of learning are to close, including childcare centres.
  • Students who are at learning institutions are not allowed to leave the district nor return from outside the district.

Social activities

  • All social events such as feasts, weddings, special prayers, anniversary parties, birthday parties and reunion parties et cetera are not allowed.

Religion

  • Generally, all religious activities at houses of worship are not allowed.
  • Friday prayers are allowed. Personal prayer mats are mandatory and other restrictions apply.

Recreation

  • Non-contact outdoor sports involving no more than 10 persons are allowed. This includes walks, jogging, cycling, hiking, fishing, golf and other activities in an open space.
  • Commercial futsal and badminton courts are allowed to open between 6am to 8pm. Operators must make sure that there are no more than 10 persons on each court.

Penalties

Breach of conditional MCO rules above and others such as the wearing of face masks and failing to record details before entering a business premise, among others, can result in a RM1,000 on-the-spot fine. - Mkini
