COVID-19 | The Health Ministry reported 2,244 new Covid-19 cases yesterday.
Active infections stood at 30,197, down 22.4 percent compared to 14 days ago.
New cases according to states are as follows:

Another nine deaths attributed to Covid-19 were reported yesterday, of which two were declared as brought in dead.
Deaths were reported in Johor (3), Sarawak (2), Malacca (1), Pahang (1), Perak (1) and Selangor (1).
Over the past week, an average of 6.7 people were reported to have died of the disease, while the average for the past 30 days was eight, indicating that such deaths are on the downtrend.
Since the start of the pandemic in March 2020, a total of 36,243 deaths have been attributed to the coronavirus.
There are 1,251 Covid-19 patients who are hospitalised of which 75 are in intensive care.
The highest number of admissions yesterday was recorded in Selangor (98) followed by Sabah (81) and Johor (53). - Mkini
