A month from now (October) the average temperature in Prague in the Czech Republic will be around 6 degrees Celsius. It gets much colder after October. Now in September it is between 11 (low) - 20 (high) degrees Celsius.
Today 70,000 people in Prague protested against skyrocketing gas prices (gas for heating their homes in the cold weather) and the generally high inflation. And they have fingered the cause of all their troubles - the Czech government's decision to toe the USA/UK led economic sanctions against Russia which has stopped both the Nordstream gas supply pipelines that bring gas into Europe.
The protesters also demand that the Czech government stop sending millions of US Dollars worth to Ukraine and they also do not want the presence of 400,000 Ukraine refugees inside the Czech Republic. Here is a quick video:
It looks like this is going to be Europe's Winter of Discontent. There are going to be more protests in other countries in Europe over the economic sanctions against Russia. The discontent is already spreading.
There have already been strikes in the UK, Netherlands, Italy and Spain.
As the weather gets cooler.
