Sunday (Sept 11) has been declared as a public holiday for Johor after the Johor Darul Ta’zim (JDT) football team emerged as the champion of the Malaysian FA Cup tonight.
Johor state secretariat Azmi Rohani said Johor ruler Sultan Ibrahim Sultan Iskandar declared the public holiday as a sign of celebration and appreciation to all JDT supporters.
“This special occasion holiday was given as a mark to celebrate and to appreciate all the JDT team supporters who have given their unwavering commitment and support to the JDT team,” Azmi said in the statement.
JDT defeated Terengganu FC (TFC) 3-1 in the 2022 FA Cup final at the National Stadium in Bukit Jalil tonight.
