Kalimah Allah : "inna Allaha huwa almaseehu ibnu maryama"

Here is something from the Quran. This is a partial quote of Surah 5:17. 

Surah 5:17  

Laqad kafara allatheena qaloo inna Allaha huwa almaseehu ibnu maryama

Surah 5:17 Indeed, those who say, “Allah is the Messiah, son of Mary,” have fallen into disbelief.

5:17 Demi sesungguhnya, kafirlah orang-orang yang berkata: "Bahawasanya Allah ialah Al-Masih Ibni Maryam. 

The same quote can be found again in Surah 5:72.

Surah 5:72

Surah 5:72 Those who say, “Allah is the Messiah, son of Mary,” have certainly fallen into disbelief.

5:72  Demi sesungguhnya! Telah kafirlah orang-orang yang berkata: "Bahawasanya Allah ialah Al-Masih Ibni Maryam".

Both these verses in the Quran refer to people who said that the Messiah (al Maseeh) the son of Mary is Allah.

al Maseeh or the Messiah the son of Mary here is none other than Jesus the son of Maryam.

So they are saying that the Messiah the son of Maryam is Allah.

And by the Quran, that is a wrong thing to say. Jesus was not the son of Allah.

The point to note also (for Malaysians, or for Malay Muslims) is that the Quran uses the word Allah to refer to what those people said.

The Quran refers them saying "Allah is the Messiah, son of Mary". 

In Malay translation  "Bahawasanya Allah ialah Al-Masih Ibni Maryam".

"inna Allaha huwa almaseehu ibnu maryama". 

(So are the Quran translations wrong when they repeat the phrase  'Allah ialah Al-Masih Ibni Maryam'?  Will we have to recall all the translations and amend them? Just a thought.)

The Arab people find this current issue in Malaysia quite a joke.
