Another three Malaysians have been arrested at Jakarta’s Soekarno-Hatta International Airport for alleged drug possession, reportedly for personal consumption.
The New Straits Times quoted Federal Narcotics Crime Investigation Department director Hussein Omar Khan, who said the women, aged between 30 and 39, were detained by Indonesian authorities on Monday after arriving on a flight from Kota Kinabalu.
“Yes, we can confirm the arrests. Two of them have previous drug-related criminal records and are known drug addicts,” Hussein (above) told the English daily.
According to Indonesian news portal Detik News, a search uncovered various suspected narcotics concealed in toiletries bags inside their luggage, handbags, medicine packets, jacket pockets, and even inside the shoes they were wearing.
Authorities seized a small assortment of suspected drugs, including cocaine, MDMA, and ketamine in powder, pill, and vape cartridge forms, as well as tobacco rolls believed to be mixed with ketamine.
A third PKR MP today revealed a freeze of constituency allocation channelled through the Implementation Coordination Unit (ICU) under the Prime Minister’s Department.
In a statement, Ampang MP Rodziah Ismail said her Ampang service centre had been unable to access the MyKhas system since July 29, affecting the management and disbursement of funds for welfare assistance, community programmes and infrastructure projects.
Ampang MP Rodziah Ismail “I am deeply troubled as to the rationale or actual reason why the Ampang parliamentary constituency allocation was suddenly frozen without any explanation,” she said, adding that the government should explain itself and resolve the issue.
Previously, Subang MP Wong Chen and Petaling Jaya MP Lee Chean Chung, both from PKR, also reported losing access to the MyKhas system.
In June, government spokesperson Fahmi Fadzil said the restrictions were not imposed arbitrarily and that residents of the affected constituencies could continue to apply for assistance directly through the ICU.
PKR must not allow voters in Malacca to feel abandoned by Pakatan Harapan despite the coalition’s disappointing performance in the recent Negeri Sembilan state election, said party chief organising secretary Elizabeth Wong.
ADSWong said the Negeri Sembilan result had prompted the party leadership to conduct a post-mortem and acknowledge weaknesses in its campaign.
She further rejected suggestions that Malacca should not be a priority for PKR following the Negeri Sembilan setback, stressing, “as a national political party, PKR must ensure that justice is delivered to all Malaysians.”

The former Bukit Lanjan assemblyperson added that Malacca’s diverse population made the state an important platform for Harapan to demonstrate its multiracial ideals.
The Finance Ministry today denied a viral claim that all Malaysians aged 18 and above will receive a one-off RM100 Rahmah Necessities Aid (Sara) payment in conjunction with National Day.
In a social media post, the ministry said the poster making the claim was false. The ministry advised the public not to believe or share the poster.
“The Finance Ministry wishes to emphasise that no official announcement has been made regarding the Sara payment as claimed in the poster.
“The public is advised to always obtain verified information through the ministry’s official channels before sharing it, to avoid the spread of false information that could mislead the public,” the post said. - Mkini
