The teacher, who had taught at the secondary school for 25 years, was found unconscious on the floor of the toilet.
Bau police chief Haide A Rahman said the woman, aged 55, was found motionless on the floor of the teachers’ toilet and medical officers confirmed her death at 9.08am.
Haide said the woman had taught Science and Biology at the school for 25 years. She was last seen in the teachers’ room before going to the toilet around 8.15am, Berita Harian reported.
At about 8.35am, another teacher noticed her colleague had yet to go to her class, prompting school staff to look for her in the restroom.
When they opened the toilet door, they found the victim unconscious on the floor.
Bau police chief Haide A Rahman said the case has been classified as a sudden death and no foul play was suspected.
The teacher’s body has been taken to Bau Hospital for an autopsy. - FMT
