Ibrahim Ali says Bersih of 'unsound mind'

Bersih 3.0's organisers are of "unsound mind" for insisting on holding their rally at Dataran Merdeka, said Perkasa chief Ibrahim Ali.
"I don’t have much to comment, just that I think they insisted because they are of unsound mind," he said, drawing chuckles from reporters and Perkasa members.
NONE"In other words, these stubborn people who like to break the law have unclean minds".

"That's why they want to have a Bersih (clean) rally," he said when asked to comment on Bersih's insistence on Dataran Merdeka despite the Kuala Lumpur City Council’s (DBKL) refusal to grant permission, and offers for alternative venues.

Speaking at a press conference, the Malay rights pressure group chief said Bersih should "obey, respect and appreciate" the government's openness in allowing the rally to take place at all, unlike countries like Singapore.
“The government has provided its cooperation and facilities, but they are still unhappy. This is akin to being given an inch but taking a mile.
"This type of people would only regret when they lose everything,” he said.
NONEIbrahim said this at a press conference in Kelab Sultan Sulaiman, Kuala Lumpur, to announce a rally to show support for the monarchy.
The rally would be held at the club’s field on Sunday morning until about noon, and is slated to include speeches on the history of Malay rulers and how it has benefited the country.
Ibrahim said a "people's declaration to defend constitutional monarchy and to strengthen the royal institution" will be written out and a delegation will hand it over to the Agong and each of the states' Malay Rulers.
The rally is in conjunction with the installation of the 13th Agong on April 11.
However, Ibrahim declined to disclose the names of the speakers, so as to "create suspense". He also did not want to speculate on the number of people who would attend.
When asked about the significance of holding the rally on April 29, Ibrahim said: “We wanted to hold it on April 28, but found Bersih too wanted to hold a rally, so this is to avoid any tension and all sorts of interpretations.”
