Two of them are unemployed while another works as a welder. All are remanded until Apr 25 to assist with investigations.
Police had caught another of the assailants, whoattackedprotesters at about 2.40am on April 19, at the scene.
The authorities said it arrived at Dataran Merdeka six minutes after about a group of unidentified men started attacking the students.
A man in his forties was warded with an eye injury after the attack, while others who sustained minor injuries declined treatment.
Two plainclothes police who were at Dataran Merdeka when the attack first happened also sustained injuries and received hospital treatment.
Videos of the incident uploaded on the Internet sparked speculation that the attackers were the same as those who had disrupted an Anything But Umno (ABU) event in Kampung Jalan Kebun, Klang in January.
Six youths were then detained under Section 148 for possession of weapons during rioting, but released the day after.
