Opposition leader Anwar Ibrahim has reminded Pakatan Rakyat to be prepared for BN’s onslaught banking on Islam and Malays as ingredients of the campaign for the 13th general election.
“We must stay together, make decision, gather ideas, strengthen our machineries ... and in the end we trust Allah. May Allah give us guidance,” he told Malay daily Sinar Harian during PKR's 'Jelajah Rakyat' tour stopover in Negeri Sembilan.
The event was also participated by Negeri Sembilan PAS commissioner Mohamad Taufek Abd Ghani, state DAP chairman Anthony Loke and former UMNO minister Lajim Ukin.
The PKR de facto leader said no top leaders in Pakatan Rakyat had said they would take revenge once the coalition forms the next Federal government.
“All have agreed that if we win, we will govern fairly and focus on the people,” he said, adding that all three component parties were committed to ‘cleanse’ the administration.
“If there are leaders of any level found to be corrupt, we will make sure they go to jail,” he said.
He urged the people of Negeri Sembilan to help PR increase its share of parliamentary and state seats.
