Four BN top guns fail MACC's GE screening
Several BN top guns aspiring to contest in the next general election have failed a Malaysian Anti-Corruption Commission (MACC) screening.
According to a report by Malay daily Sinar Harian today, the personalities include two federal ministers, a menteri besar and chief minister, as well as two top party leaders.
The report did not mention which party the individuals were from, but only BN component parties had submitted their potential election candidates to the MACC.
Pakatan Rakyat had refused to follow suit, citing distrust of the commission.
This was discovered after a preliminary screening by MACC, and the individuals are expected to be dropped as candidates in the next general election, the report said.
