The EVIL AGENDA of Ibrahim Ali

The EVIL AGENDA of Ibrahim Ali
I sneered at Ibrahim Ali's threat to burn the Bible, and was instantly reminded of the idiotic Florida pastor Terry Jones.
Two years ago, Jones shocked the world by threatening to burn the Koran.
The entire planet, from people like Barack Obama to Ban Ki-moon, and from the West to the East, was both exasperated and terrorised, some cursing while others trying to appease. In the unfortunate event he really burned the Koran, the deeply planted hatred would once again be revived and the terror attacks and conflicts that would ensue would go on forever.
Several days later, he declared to abort the plan, much to the relief of the whole world.
People saw him as a lunatic, and before long, no one would bother about him any more.
I later read of Jones' confession, and discovered that he was neither crazy nor idiotic. On the contrary, the world was both crazy and idiotic in his eyes.
He said, "The reactions from the outside world were well within my expectations. I cancelled the plan to burn the Koran not because I chickened out but because people could be frightened by the possible reactions that would follow."
"No one would listen to a country pastor like me, but the reactions I've got this time were way beyond what a $10 billion advertising bill could buy."
"So, thank you very much for giving me this opportunity to successfully express myself, and to prove that my views have been right."
Holding the world to ransom
A frustrated country pastor tensed up the world, and could potentially spark a new wave of violent religious confrontation all because Jones was well aware that the world would dance to his tune.
On one hand, he was hijacking the world, forcing everyone to be aware of his existence, with a handful even worshipping him as hero.
A greater feat of him was playing the psychological game to create some responses by stimulating the Muslims, something that he had desired and could easily manipulate (remember Ivan Pavlov's "conditioned reflex" experiment?)
If the Muslims or extremists initiated another round of terror strikes or killings, his viewpoints in slamming Islam would then be indirectly testified.
The more intensified the reactions, the more would Jones be justified to announce to the world, "I told you that..."
That was his design.
Jones was neither crazy nor stupid. On the contrary, he was an extremely cunning man that had achieved what he wanted.
Ibrahim Ali & the same desire for publicity
The same can be applied to our Ibrahim Ali.
This guy could be a little outrageous, but he is in no way crazy nor foolish.
He knew very well the moment he started to threaten the burn the Alkitab (Malay Bible), the whole country would take a more serious look at the issue he started.
To a bunch of morons, he was a heroic guardian of the status and prestige of Islam.
But to majority of people, the more aggressive they would respond to him, the more he would feel a sense of accomplishment, attesting to his argument that Islam was indeed under menace.
Evil agenda
I could say for sure that Ibrahim Ali would, like Terry Jones, call off his plan last minute. A cunning chap like him should know that he has achieved what he has wanted if this thing has successfully drawn attention. He wouldn't be so foolish as to cross the fire line and get himself torched in the end.
I guess he is now secretly giggling, "Thank you folks, for giving me this opportunity to successfully express myself, and to prove that my views have been right."
Despicable as he is, we nevertheless need not over-react to his evil agenda. Why not see him just as another clown, and let him bow out in self-inflicted embarrassment instead of dancing to his tune and falling into his trap?
Those distributing the Bible to Muslim students outside the school gate have made themselves a bunch of fools by becoming a tool that politicians like Ibrahim Ali and other religious fanatics could exploit.
