He said the MPPA was an annual gathering of civil servants from the federal, state and local authority levels besides government agencies and government-linked companies to hear the prime minister’s message on aspirations of the top leadership of the country and how the civil service can help realise these objectives.
“Don’t misinterpret ... this could be because there are some quarters who like to view everything from the negative aspect.
“At the MPPA, we announce all streamlining and improvements to the civil service. Last year, we held consultations (on improving the civil service) and the matters approved by the government were announced at the gathering,” he told reporters after attending the gathering.
Some 9,000 civil servants attended the gathering carrying the theme “Transforming the Civil Service, Realising Vision 2020” at the Putrajaya International Convention Centre (PICC) here. — Bernama
