Anwar Ibrahim and his wife Dr Wan Azizah Wan Ismail were involved in an car accident last night which resulted in the opposition leader suffering a cracked humerus near his right shoulder.
The incident happened near Desa Sri Hartamas, Kuala Lumpur, at about 10pm when the car they were in collided with another vehicle.
Husband and wife were said to be heading home when the accident happened.
Anwar’s injury requires him to wear a sling while Wan Azizah, who is also PKR president, sustained minor bruises.
“Both went home after being discharged last night,” PKR director of communications Fahmi Fadzil said.
