MCA has today urged the authorities to investigate and nab the culprits who attacked two nuns and seriously injured them yesterday.
The party's Wanita vice-chairperson Ong Chong Swen (right), a former Convent Keramat student in Penang, said no words could describe her horror on learning that two elderly nuns were assaulted at the church grounds at the Visitation Church in Seremban, yesterday.
“The police must leave no stone unturned in their investigations to nab these simply vicious culprits. There should also be more police patrols in that vicinity.
“I also urge Malaysians irrespective of religious belief, to express outrage against the attackers and say prayers for Sister Mary Rose and Sister Juliana Lim to recover from their injuries,” she said in a statement.
It was reported the two suffered serious head injuries and one of them is said to be in critical condition.
Seremban police chief Zainal Abu said they did not know the motive of the attack as there were no witnesses to the case. However he did not rule out robbery.
