Terengganu crisis show under Najib, Umno is so weak it is ready to SELF-IMPLODE

T'ganu crisis show under Najib, Umno is so weak it is ready to SELF-IMPLODE
Umno's external foes are not the prime suspects behind the political imbroglio in Terengganu as suggested by the home minister. A DAP lawmaker's probe finds Najib Abdul Razak's fingerprints at the crime scene.
Weighing in on the issue, which left the BN state government on tenterhooks for less than 48 hours, Ariff Sabri said the crisis stemmed from the prime minister's weak leadership.
The vocal politician and former Umno man himself claimed that Najib and ex-Terengganu menteri besar Ahmad Said had a pact since the onset of the last general election.
Ariff described it as an "agreement between crooks" to ensure that both Najib and Ahmad retained their respective positions and powers.
Adding another liberal dose of political venom to his analysis, the Raub MP said: "These kind of agreements destroy the state and the country."
In his latest blog posting, Ariff claimed that Najib was aware about the public perception that Ahmad Said was "raiding" the Terengganu coffers.
"Despite this, Najib retained him because since the beginning of the 13TH general election, the ex-MB had frightened Najib with his threat that he and his gang would leave Umno.
"What more when BN won (the state) 17-15 (in terms of seats). Najib who was spooked about losing power and losing Terengganu had to agree to Ahmad Said’s terms," he added.
In view of this, Ariff said there was no need for Home Minister Ahmad Zahid Hamidi to orchestrate a charade and accuse others for the woes besieging Umno.
"If there are villains and pirates in the state Umno, there is no need for external intervention, it would implode," he added.
Yesterday, Zahid cautioned Umno members about enemies within and outside who were attempting to destroy the party.
Meanwhile, Ariff also took a swipe at the Terengganu Umno state assemlypersons for uttering the "cliche words of fighting for religion, race and country" after retracting their resignations.
He pointed out that such battles were not Umno’s monopoly.
"Can we trust Umno people who say these things? This is the same thing they have been saying for the last 68 years.
"After 68 years, robberies and corruption are greater than progress and development.
"After 68 years, 20 percent of Malays at the top control 65 percent of Malay wealth," he said, calling on Umno leaders to "cease the drama.
