In another twist to the ongoing Terengganu saga, Umno has yet to receive letters from the three assemblypersons who said they are leaving the party to become Independents.
As such, Umno legal adviser Hafarizam Harun (right) said the BN still has the executive power and control of the Menteri Besar's Office.
“Any alleged exit to become independent of the BN or Umno by BN assemblypersons can only be effective upon (receipt of) their letters by the Umno or BN secretary-general.
“To date, no such letters have been received,” Hafarizam said in a text message to Malaysiakini.
