What they said about the TERENGGANU CRISIS ...

What they said about the TGANU CRISIS ...
We are now waiting for that statement from YB Roslee in writing.
Tengku Putra Tengku Awang, Terengganu Industry and Trade executive councillor, claiming Bukit Besi assemblyman Roslee Daud has “verbally” retracted his resignation from UMNO.
UMNO’s position now is we have 15 seats, PAS 14, PKR one, and two independents.
Shahidan Kassim, UMNO Supreme Council member
The best option is to evaluate this through a vote of no confidence in the Terengganu assembly. If BN does not obtain enough support, then the state government can change hands. Or we could hold another election.
Yahaya Ali, Terengganu PAS deputy commissioner
We cannot simply form the state government like what happened in‎ Perak in 2008. We must go back to the Constitution and follow‎ the correct process.
Mohamad Sabu, PAS deputy president, calling for fresh elections in Terengganu
New state general election is the best way to resolve the constitutional impasse that has arisen in Terengganu as there is no political party with a working majority.
Lim Kit Siang, DAP advisor
This is just the early stages. Politicians can change their mind freely if the price is right, it is often said that trustworthy politicians don't exist anymore.
A Kadir Jasin, former group chief editor of The News Straits Times
I understand that he (Ahmad) asked for his resignation to be postponed after his child's wedding. Najib refused. If he really did request that, Najib should have considered it, and not be so hasty in accepting Ahmad's resignation. One must be wise when making decisions, to ensure all parties are happy. Now it is all too late.
Ibrahim Ali, Perkasa chief, blaming Prime Minister Najib Razak over the impasse in Terengganu following BN’s attempt to replace Ahmad Said as the state Menteri Besar.
We maintain our stance - and we will discuss this with the central leadership - that we are not interested in courting them for now.
Satiful Bahri Mamat, Terengganu PAS commissioner
The sultan can inquire whether the current menteri besar, Ahmad Razif Abdul Rahman, has the support of the majority of the House. This will be the Perak sultan’s move, where the sultan, through extraneous means, can made inquiries, and not necessarily there be via a vote of no confidence in the legislature.
Syahredzan Johan, Bar Council co-deputy chairperson on constitutional law, on the role that could be played by Terengganu ruler Sultan Mizan Zainal Abidin to resolve the state impasse
