Nine aircraft parking bays at the Kuala Lumpur International Airport 2 (klia2) have been closed because of a pressure drop in its jet fuelling system.
Malaysia Airports Holding Berhad (MAHB) was advised by Kuala Lumpur Aviation Fuelling system (KAFS) about the matter, resulting in the temporary closure from Wednesday until midnight Sunday.
"As an airport operator that considers airport and passenger safety a matter of priority, Malaysia Airports views this matter seriously.
"While there is no immediate cause for concern, this measure is taken as a safety precaution as well as to allow KAFS to perform a thorough check," MAHB said in a statement.
The closure is unlikely to cause any major disruption to its operations.
"Malaysia Airports will continue to work closely with all affected stakeholders to ensure passengers will not be inconvenienced," it said. – Bernama
