AG Panics, Cancels Meeting With MACC Panel, MACC Briefs Ministers?

Yesterday the AG was supposed to meet two of the independent Panels which advise the MACC. But at the last minute the AG cancelled the meeting.  Why? Dont know. But speculation is the AG cancelled the meeting AFTER the Wall Street Journal story broke.  The Wall Street Journal has basically said that the AG has lied. 

No reason has been given by the AG for the postponement of the meeting. Maybe there was a new movie playing in town. The MACC Panel was certainly going to raise the 1MDB issue.

Here is some trivia about the MACC. Talk is the MACC has funds to pay salaries only until June of 2014, meaning their operating budget. These are rumours.   

It is quite inconceivable that the MACC would cease operations or be forced to wind down its pace.  I think funds will be made available to pay the salaries of the MACC staff. 

I have heard that two of the five advisory panels may be discontinued later this year.  It has already been reported that the tenures of those Panel members who were supposed to meet the AG yesterday are coming to an end with this month.   So next month they will not be there anymore.

But imagine if you are an MACC officer investigating a major corruption scandal and this type of news leaks out. It will certainly impact  your motivation to do your job properly.   I hope the MACC guys will continue working as usual, with full gusto and confidence.

This nightmare will come to an end.  Let us have faith in ourselves.

Other rumours I hear are that the MACC has met and briefed a few Ministers about the entire 1MDB, SRC, RM2.6 billion etc matter.

The Ministers are Hishamuddin Hussein Onn, I_m _ _ l S_ _ri and Z_ _ _d H_ _ _ _ i. 

I am willing to be corrected on this information - either by the MACC or by the Ministers of course. 

Talk is the Ministers did not raise any serious objections about what the MACC told them.  It is more a case of 'akur' versus 'tidak akur'.  I dont know what exactly the MACC told them.

Maybe the Press can ask the Ministers to confirm or deny that the MACC has briefed them about the 1MDB, SRC, RM2.6 billion etc matter.

Ask them what the MACC told them? Whether they agree or not.

And what are they going to do about it?
