Najib and the emperor’s new clothes

YOURSAY l ‘PM, if you can answer all the questions, then you are not a crook.’
Versey: Mr PM, the rakyat also wish that you are not a crook, hence all are hoping that you would step forward to answer the various questions raised by the local and foreign reporters, be open enough to show how the RM2.6 billion ‘donation’ and RM42 million of SRC International’s money went into your personal bank accounts, show justification of how the money was spent, and challenge the Wall Street Journal and all other international news media that you think have wronged you, in court.
Alas, you have disappointed us - instead of answering questions, giving us believable evidence to prove your innocence, you dismantled the investigation task force, allowing your government to block media thus depriving the rakyat the right to know and digest independent news, and lock up local and foreign reporters who want to find the truth.
As it is, how could any dignified rakyat with sound and sane mind not feel that our intelligence is terribly insulted?
Bluemountains: In this world of advanced technology, the people no longer accept hearsay as evidence.
Show us the paper trail for the RM2.6 billion ‘donation’ and the RM42 million from SRC to prove your innocence. Nothing more, nothing less.
Odin Tajué: PM Najib Razak, when you are addressing a crowd that comprises people who:
1) are infantile; and
2) are ever ready to praise your emperor's robe, you can say anything you want and they will concur.
Whereas those in the real world, and as long as they are not mentally unsound or challenged, will continue to hold you in contempt - for to them you appear like a soul constantly wracked and tortured by enormous guilt and the extreme fear of being caught and punished.
RM2.6 Billion Turkey Haram: Yes, Najib did not rob the forest in Pahang. He did not even take a single tree there. But no one has accused him of doing that.
He failed to say that he did not take a single sen from 1MDB. No amount of rhetoric can dispel the conclusion of billions of people around the world - as this has gone international - concerning the 1MDB and SRC scandals.
The only way to clear himself is to subject himself to investigation by an independent party - not the Malaysian Anti-Corruption Commission (MACC), nor the police.
It’s simply pathetic asking people not to think you are not a crook. My toes are laughing.
If you say you are not a crook, why run away from journalists? Why run away from the Nothing2Hide forum when you learned that former PM Dr Mahathir Mohamad was attending? Why are you afraid to answer questions in Parliament?
Najib, only a crook keeps on hiding. An innocent man fears nobody nor questions.
Bulls**tWalks & Money Talks: If you can answer the following, then we will believe you:
1. Why was the attorney-general Abdul Gani Patail sacked?
2. Why was the special task force disbanded?
3. Why were members of Public Accounts Committee (PAC) promoted to deputy ministers?
4. Why were MACC officers transferred?
5. Why are questions on 1MDB declared sub judice?

Boeyks: PM, if you are not a thief like what you say, then you must be most happy when given a chance to prove so.
Set up a royal commission of inquiry (RCI) headed by some prominent members, and after their investigations, let them tell us that you are not a thief and that we are most blessed to have you as PM, and I will be among those who will apologise to you publicly.
So how about that? The ball is at your feet.
Mushiro: Merely denying the accusations in a gallery where paid supporters are bussed in, with compliant newsmen and illegal beneficiaries around, will not work.
Meet the real newsmen head-on in a 'Nothing2Hide' press conference. This is the only way to convince the people. Don’t run away.
Fookchin: There is a story about a character named Abu Dajal. He was a notorious thief in the village.
One day, he found a wad of notes hidden under a rock by another thief.
Seeing and believing that nobody saw him, he pocketed the notes and replaced them with a short note saying, “Duit ini bukan Abu Dajal yang ambil,” (Abu Dajal didn’t take this money).
Meh: He thinks he can still fool the people by a bare denial, hoping for the kampung folks to swallow it.
No, he must produce the so-called donor. He should beg the donor to come forward to save his career and reputation. He must sue WSJ and Sarawak Report.
Otherwise, the people will be entitled to question his innocence. -Mkini
