SEREMBAN: A 14-year-old girl is in hospital after giving birth to a 3kg baby, in a case which police have classified as rape, The Star reported.
They have detained the girl’s 19-year-old boyfriend who has been remanded for a week to facilitate investigations.
The Star reported that the youth came to know the girl through a chat application.
Quoting a source, The Star reported that the girl’s family is in shock as they didn’t have a clue she was pregnant.
The girl had asked her older sister to give her a massage at their home as she was feeling unwell, but within a short while the girl started having abdominal pains and went into labour.
The girl, who just completed her Form 2, and her baby are still admitted in hospital. Both are doing fine.
