SEX SEX SEX ERUPTS IN DR M’S BERSATU: MUHYIDDIN MUST CLEAR HIS NAME OVER CHINESE MISTRESS SCANDAL BEFORE DEMOTING ANINA OVER ‘SEX-TEXTS’
PETALING JAYA – Tan Sri Muhyiddin Yassin “must clear his name and his image” over allegations of a scandal with another man’s wife, said Datuk Seri Khairuddin Abu Hassan.
The former Batu Kawan Umno vice-chief said that Muhyiddin who is Parti Pribumi Bersatu Malaysia (Pribumi) president must not be exempted from clearing his name as Umno could capitalise on the issue. Khairuddin said this in response to allegations that Anina Saadudin was sacked as the Women’s Pribumi chief because of a sex scandal.
“The party grassroots have also been asking about the allegations of its president’s scandal…The party must be seen to be clean, fair and just, without appearing as if it practices favouritism,” he said in a statement on Monday.
Khairuddin who was speaking in a “personal capacity” claimed that should Muhyiddin’s scandal not be resolved, Umno would sensationalise it in the next general election.
“All this while Muhyiddin has also taken a silence approach on issues that surrounded him,” said Khairuddin who left the party in October.
Khairuddin said that even Jaringan Melayu Malaysia (JMM) had lodged an official report to the Johor Religious Department on Muhyiddin’s scandal.
“If Pribumi wants to be excellent, it not just have to be clean, but must seen to be clean,” he said.
He claimed that the supreme council must be seen to take a tough stance towards cleaning the party’s image that has been tarnished lately.
Khairuddin also said that Pakatan Harapan has to consider new faces such as Selangor Menteri Besar Datuk Seri Azmin Ali as a “probable candidate” for the prime minister’s position should the Opposition win in the next general election.
“Azmin’s image has been good overall, even to those in the grassroots throughout the country. Various segments of society can accept the leadership of Azmin,” he said.
Khairuddin also claimed that Azmin has the track record of governing Selangor successfully with a surplus in its state of RM4.1bil this year.
“Naming new candidates from among young dynamic leaders like Azmin can give hope to Malaysians to vote to ensure victory of Pakatan to capture Putrajaya,” he said.
