tony-fernandesPETALING JAYA: A video clip is going viral on social media showing AirAsia group CEO Tony Fernandes’ helping his cabin crew to collect trash from passengers.

The incident is said to have taken place on board an AirAsia Indonesia flight yesterday, as he had posted a message on his Instagram earlier in the day about his activities in Jakarta.
“Had a great day in Indonesia. Airasia Indonesia is rocking. What a turnaround. Ps I love my new t shirt and tracksuit bottoms from bape.”
The message accompanied a photo he took with AirAsia Indonesia staff in an office.
He was then seen wearing the same t-shirt on the flight, where he had assisted the cabin crew.
He later shared on Instagram another message about realising that he had been filmed “secretly” while assisting the cabin crew.
“@audreypetriny filmed me secretly. As it was worlds cabin crew day and flight was full flight, decided to help out. Thank you to all my crew for all their hard work. Ps love the shirt.”
As expected, he received a lot of praise from his followers on social media.
User “yasinyuska” wrote: “I love this, i mean i love how you treat your employees. This is being a true leader. No gap between boss and employees”.
Another user “suzannashraff0206” wrote: “So humble, sporting & inspired man on earth?? We salute you”.
Meanwhile, in another message on Instagram, Fernandes spoke up about the general election taking place in the United Kingdom on June 8.
Referring to a debate between the leaders of the main parties contesting in the general election, he expressed his disappointment with current British prime minister Theresa May.
“Being a leader means you got to turn up. Theresa May should have turned up for the debate,” Fernandes wrote referring to the debate which took place last night and in which Conservative Party leader May had refused to take part. -FMT
