PETALING JAYA: Twenty people were arrested while having a drug-fuelled sex party at a bungalow in George Town, Penang, early today.

The raid was conducted at 12.30am by the Penang state D7 (Anti-Vice, Gambling and Secret Societies Division) unit after a public tip-off, with the arrest of 13 men and seven women, aged from 17 to 25.

Penang CID chief Rahimi Ra’ais said preliminary investigations found that the group had rented the bungalow at a cost of RM800 for the night.

“Our interrogations also found that the rent for the bungalow was paid by the 13 men, who paid RM70 each before inviting women they knew to join the wild party,” he was quoted as saying in a report in Malaysia Gazette.

Rahimi said police confiscated drugs, condoms and audio system equipment during the raid, while urine tests conducted showed 12 men and five women testing positive for methamphetamine.

“All the suspects who tested positive for drugs were remanded for four days.

“The case is being investigated under Section 269 of the Penal Code for a negligent act that may likely spread an infection of any disease dangerous to life, and Section 12(3) of the Dangerous Drugs Act 1952 and Section 15(1)(a) of the same act.”

In LUMUT, 17 people, including an Indonesian woman, were fined RM4,000 each after they were found having a party in a condominium apartment at 1.15am, Bernama reported.

Manjung district police chief Nor Omar Sappi said the 17 people comprised nine men and eight women, aged 19 to 48.

He said the raid was carried out as a result of a public tip-off and police also found a 35-year-old Indonesian woman without valid travel documents.

“Compound fines were issued against 16 locals for organising a public gathering with no physical distancing

“The condominium unit was rented for RM350 for one night. All those involved were later arrested and brought back to the Manjung district police headquarters for further investigation,” he said in a statement here today.
