PETALING JAYA: Six localities in Tawau, Sabah, will be placed under an enhanced movement control order (EMCO) from Aug 18-31.
In a statement today, national security director-general Rodzi Md Saad said the areas are: Kampung Mentadak Baru, Kampung Sri Aman, Kampung Hidayat, Taman Semarak Jaya, Lorong Damai and Lorong Haji Marzuki.
Meanwhile in Pahang, Kampung Luit in Maran will also be placed under an EMCO from Aug 18-31.
Rodzi added that the EMCO at Kampung Temalian in Raub, Pahang, would also be extended from Aug 18 to Aug 31.
The EMCO at the Palmlyn workers quarters in Mukah, Sarawak, is also set to be extended until Aug 31.
Meanwhile, the EMCO at 11 localities in five states is set to end tomorrow.
In Raub, Pahang, the areas are Kampung Bedu, Kampung Pamah Kulat, Sungai Klau and Sungai Chalit.
In Kelantan, the localities are Kampung Belian in Tumpat and Kampung Tok Sadang in Kota Bharu.
The areas in Terengganu are Bandar Cheneh Baru and Felda Neram, both in Kemaman.
In Sabah, the areas are Kampung Selagon and Kampung Binsulok – both in Beaufort.
Also on the list is Kampung Bintawa Hilir in Kuching, Sarawak. - FMT
