PETALING JAYA: Prime Minister Ismail Sabri Yaakob’s Cabinet must not comprise those facing trial, says Johor PAS.
Johor PAS information chief Rusman Kemin said this is crucial to maintain a “clean” administration and solve the various crises the country is facing.
“It is hoped the prime minister can continue the excellent (performance) of the Perikatan Nasional (PN) administration and form a Cabinet that is free of those facing trial and those with personal agendas.”
He added that the fact that 50% of adults had already been vaccinated was proof that the country was on the “right track”.
Ismail, who was sworn in today, is expected to announce his Cabinet line-up soon.
Rusman also urged all parties to respect the Yang di-Pertuan Agong’s decision to appoint Ismail as prime minister.
Previously, PN chairman Muhyiddin Yassin also said the coalition’s support for Ismail as the prime minister candidate was conditional on Ismail not including anyone facing trial in the Cabinet. - FMT
