PETALING JAYA
Police are on the hunt for four men who are suspected of attempting to rob another man near a petrol station along the Kesas Highway earlier this morning.

Subang Jaya police chief Wan Azlan Wan Mamat said they received a police report from a 37-year-old man at 1.37am.

Wan Azlan said the victim was nearly robbed by four unidentified men armed with wooden sticks.

The suspects, riding motorcycles, blocked the victim’s vehicle and then struck the car’s window with the wooden sticks, causing it to shatter,
he said in a statement today.

Wan Azlan said the case is being investigated under Sections 393 (attempted robbery) and 427 (mischief) of the Penal Code, which carry penalties of up to seven years in prison, fines, or both, if convicted.

He also urged anyone with information regarding the incident to contact investigating officer Liew Wai Leong at 014-6884167 or the nearest police station.

Earlier today, a social media user said in a posting on X that her in-laws’ family member nearly became a victim of a robbery after refuelling at a petrol station.

The user also shared dashcam footage showing four suspects as well as photos showing the damage to a Toyota Estima, including a broken left passenger window. - FMT
