Police are investigating allegations that a 14-year-old teenager “worked” at Serdang Hospital for a week while posing as a staff member.
Sepang district police chief Wan Kamarul Azran Wan Yusof said the investigation is based on a police report lodged at the Dato Abu Bakar Baginda police station in Kajang.
The Health Ministry has also launched an investigation into the matter.
However, a senior official told Malaysiakini it will not issue an official statement yet.
“The ministry does not want to disrupt the ongoing (investigation) process," said the official who declined to be named.
As of publication time, not much information is available regarding the case. - Mkini
