The centres are at the Dewan Mahkota at Kem Mahkota, Dewan Pengaman Zamrud at the police housing estate of the Kluang district police headquarters, and SK Sultan Sir Ibrahim.
A total of 4,911 early voters are eligible to cast their ballots. They comprise 4,510 military personnel and their spouses, while the rest are police personnel.
The centres will close at 5pm.
The by-election for the state seat is a straight fight between Barisan Nasional’s Syed Hussien Syed Abdullah and Perikatan Nasional’s Haizan Jaafar.
It is being held following the death of Umno assemblyman Sharifah Azizah Syed Zain, 63, on Aug 2.
The Mahkota state constituency, located within the Kluang parliamentary constituency, has a total of 66,318 voters, who will go to the polls on Sept 28. - FMT
