Nga and team returned unopposed at Perak DAP convention

IPOH: 

Perak DAP chairman Nga Kor Ming has retained his party position unopposed for a three-year term today, together with all 15 candidates nominated by the state committee.

Nga thanked four election candidates for voluntarily withdrawing their nominations to contest for places on the state committee. The four are state assemblymen M Thulsi (Buntong), Angeline Koo (Keranji), Cheah Pou Hian (Jelapang) and Steven Tiw (Tronoh).

Nga said 19 individuals were nominated to contest the posts on the state committee but only 15 could be selected. 

These four colleagues chose to withdraw voluntarily. Their sacrifice ensured that the state committee achieved an unprecedented 100% victory,

 Nga said.

Nga announced that Perak DAP will allocate RM400,000 to support the party’s initiatives; RM200,000 will be directed to the Perak DAP welfare fund to support veteran members, while the remaining RM200,000 will be designated for the Perak DAP student aid fund for children of party members pursuing their education at public universities.

The Perak DAP committee comprises: Nga Kor Ming, V Sivakumar, A Sivanesan, Abdul Aziz Bari, Wong Kah Woh, Jenny Choy, Howard Lee, Ong Boon Piow, Teh Kok Lim, M Thulsi, Cheah Pou Hian, Steven Chaw, Goh See Hua, Woo Kah Leong, Chong Zhemin, Nga Hock Cheh, Ong Seng Guan, Loh Sze Yee, and Wong May Ing. - FMT
