PETALING JAYA
Seven students at a boarding school in Teluk Intan have lodged police reports claiming they were bullied by their seniors on March 8.

Bagan Datuk police chief Ali Jali said the reports were filed by Form 2 and Form 4 students, Bernama reported.

They alleged they were bullied by two Form 5 students, resulting in muscle pain and swelling in their arms.

Ali said the two Form 5 students had allegedly instructed 62 male Form Two and Four students to do 200 push-ups, claiming it was to “discipline” them.

Such action was improper, he added.

“Thus far, we have only received seven reports from the affected students,” he told reporters at the Bagan Datuk police headquarters today.

He said at this stage, police were still waiting for an order to investigate from the deputy public prosecutor’s office to allow statements to be taken from the two Form 5 students accused of bullying.

The case is being investigated under Section 323 of the Penal Code for voluntarily causing hurt. - FMT
