Govt committed to continuing sustainable development in all states

JOHOR BARU: The Madani government remains committed to ensuring that every state, including Johor, enjoys sustainable, inclusive development that benefits all citizens, says Pakatan Harapan secretary-general Datuk Seri Saifuddin Nasution Ismail.

Saifuddin, who is also Home Minister, said that under the leadership of Prime Minister Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim, the government has prioritised investment in infrastructure, public transportation, health, and flood mitigation to improve the quality of life for the people.

He added that Johor is now on a solid path to continue developing through the implementation of various high-impact initiatives and projects.

According to Saifuddin, among the main projects being implemented are the Gemas-Johor Bahru Electrified Double Tracking Project, the Rapid Transit System (RTS) Link, the third lane widening of the PLUS Highway, the Johor flood mitigation project, the Sungai Kim Kim Sewage Treatment Plant and the Pasir Gudang Hospital.

"The government's commitment to Johor's development is further strengthened through the approval of several new large-scale projects, including the Elevated Autonomous Rapid Transit (E-ART), Sultanah Aminah Hospital 2, and USIM Hospital in Sedili," he said in a Facebook post on Monday (June 29).

He also said that development is not merely measured by investment value or numbers alone, but is instead translated through the benefits enjoyed by the people.

"Among them are job opportunities, a more efficient transportation system, access to better healthcare services and improved quality of life," he added. – Bernama
