Police say the suspects, aged 19 to 30, have previous records for violent crime and drug-related offences.

Wangsa Maju police chief Annas Sulaiman said in a statement the arrests came after a 38-second video clip on Facebook showed a brawl and rioting involving a group of men.
He said checks found the incident took place outside Esperance Pudu, with initial investigations indicating that a dispute between several individuals escalated into a larger fight.
“Checks found all the suspects had prior records related to violent crime and drug offences,” he said.
“All suspects have been remanded for five days from Aug 31 to Sept 4 to assist in investigations.”
Police also seized a black Perodua Myvi believed to have been used during the incident, while efforts to track down other suspects are still ongoing.
The case is being investigated under Section 307 of the Penal Code for attempted murder, Section 148 for rioting while armed with a weapon or other dangerous object, and Section 427 for causing mischief. - FMT
