Perak MB names ex-Kenering rep as new pol-sec

Perak menteri besar Saarani Mohamad has named former Kenering assemblyman Tarmizi Idris as his new political secretary.

Saarani announced the appointment in a Facebook post today.

“May you be able to carry out this trust and responsibility to the best of your ability and together help facilitate the administration’s work and service to the people,” he said in the post.

Tarmizi served as the Kenering assemblyman for four terms from 2004 to 2022. He is currently the Lenggong Umno deputy chief.

On Aug 20, Saarani confirmed that his then political secretary, Hamidi Baharuddin, resigned effective Aug 17 due to health reasons. - FMT
