First an update on Ukraine. Russian forces are coming closer to taking the city of Zaporizhia. It is also obvious that the Russians are making their moves towards taking the port city of Odessa. The port has been blockaded since early July. No imports and exports are taking place through the Black Sea. The city of Kharkiv is also facing non stop bombardment by Russian troops - especially through pin point hits by Russian drones and missiles.
The Russian Chief of General Staff General Valery Gerasimov has reached compulsory retirement age of 70 years. He has worked well with President Putin in that he has been avoiding too risky moves on the battle ground. Russia has conserved plenty of its manpower because of this cautious approach but the Russian General Staff command is itching for more aggressive action in Ukraine. Whoever replaces General Gerasimov will likely up the tempo of ground operations. There is a Colonel-General Aleksandr Chaiko, the Russian Ground Forces senior commander. He is currently being discussed as a strong candidate to replace General Gerasimov as Chief of the General Staff. (Or another General Surovikin).
There is a tectonic shift shaping up in Germany. On September 6th (5 days away) the state of Saxony will have their polls. Leading all the surveys and all the polls is the AfD or Alternative fur Deutschland. This is Germany's right wing party. When the AfD wins Saxony it will create major earthquakes throughout the German political landscape because throughout Germany the people are fed up with the weak and boorish government of Friedrich Merz. The Merz government has to be the least popular government in the history of Germany, Adolph Hitler included. Saxony-Anhalt (the full name) will bear testimony to this groundswell. So September 6th is going to be a watershed moment for Germany.
Over in France the French people are just waiting for 2027 to kick out Emmanuel Annabelle Macron. The French are fed up too. France is also expecting another earthquake because the French Supreme Court or something has overturned the decision of a lower court to ban Marine Le Pen from running for president. So Marine Le Pen will be running for president. Like the AfD in Germany, Le Pen's super right wing National Rally party is leading all the surveys and polls in France. Considering her persistence and perseverance for the past 20 years, she might just make it this time.
Super right wing Geert Wilder won the largest bloc of Parliamentary seats in Holland but they blocked him from becoming prime minister. Germany and France will most likely go right wing.
The war in Ukraine is actually a war for western civilisation. And this time it is Russia that is fighting for western civilisation. This is not an alien concept. Muslims will fight for an Islamic civilisation. The Chinese will want to safeguard the Chinese civilisation. The European Union has become quite a hybrid mongrel and they have totally lost their way.
