‘I ONLY LIKE NEGRI SEMBILAN MALAY STYLE’, CLAIMS MAT HASAN – BUT DOES HIS RM10 MIL LONDON LUXURY APARTMENT ALSO HAVE MALAY-STYLE ROOFS & WOODEN STILTS? EX-MB SAYS RM6 MIL MINANGKABAU MINI PALACE NOT HIS TASTE – EVEN AS CASH-IS-KING NAJIB DEFENDS HIM WITH ‘WHAT’S WRONG FOR MAT HASAN TO BUY AN APARTMENT OR BUNGALOW’

Former Negeri Sembilan menteri besar Mohamad Hasan has distanced himself from a Minangkabau-style house in Seremban 2, which critics say belong to him.
“In terms of design itself, it doesn’t suit me.
“I am not of Minangkabau descent,” Mohamad said at a press conference in Rantau today.
Social media has been rife with claims that Mohamad owns a house in Saujana Duta in Seremban 2 – said to be worth about RM6 million – which is designed with a “Minangkabau-style” roof.

Mohamad said when he was menteri besar, he had departed from the past policy for Negeri Sembilan buildings to be built in the Minangkabau style, preferring instead a Negeri Sembilan Malay style.
The traditional Negeri Sembilan Malay house design doesn’t have the iconic curved roofs and “horns” of a Minangkabau house.
Mohamad said his house in Rantau, which is next door to the BN command centre where the press conference was held, is in the Negeri Sembilan Malay style.

Najib claims Pakatan lined up 9 issues to attack Mat Hasan

PAKATAN Harapan has lined up nine issues to attack Mohamad Hasan in the final stretch of the Rantau by-election campaign, said Najib Razak.
The former prime minister said he received information about PH’s attack mode against the Barisan Nasional candidate.
“They have started their personal attacks against Tok Mat (Mohamad). I have called him to tell him about the nine issues PH wants to use to target him. I was given the information (about the issues),” he said while campaigning in Rantau on yesterday.
He, however, did not disclose the details.
Mohamad said the money was to purchase a property in London and that he had been cleared by the authorities over the matter.
Najib defended Mohamad in the case, saying that the latter had accumulated wealth during his tenure as a corporate person before jumping into politics.
Last Saturday, Negri Sembilan speaker Zulkefly Mohamad Omar, while stumping for Pakatan Harapan candidate Dr S. Streram, brought up the RM10 million transfer and questioned Mohamad’s integrity.
Yesterday, PH lodged reports with the police and the Malaysia Anti-Corruption Commission against Mohamad over the matter.
PH also raised questions about Mohamad’s other properties and over his alleged takeover of land in Sendayan in 2006.
“What is wrong with him (Mohamad) buying an apartment or a bungalow? Other politicians’ children have properties worth millions.   It’s not just me saying this, even PKR president (Anwar Ibrahim) who had previously questioned about the ownership of St Miguel (beer company),” he said, referring to PH parties’ attacks against Dr Mahathir Mohamad’s children’s wealth.
Najib also reiterated how PH lied about him in the last general election.
