KUALA LUMPUR: Firemen have rescued an eight-year-old boy who had been left in a locked room in a fourth-floor flat in Ampang.
He was believed to be a victim of abuse.
Selangor fire and rescue department director Norazam Khamis said the boy had attempted to escape through a window on the fourth floor of the building, in Jalan Cahaya, Ampang.
“The incident was noticed by a member of the public who alerted the security guard at the building. The guard then broke the door before firemen arrived. The child was rescued and the case has been handed over to the police,” he said when contacted here tonight. - FMT
