The Drainage and Irrigation Department has identified 52 hotspots and 307 at-risk areas in Selangor that could be experiencing floods in the time to come.
According to the National Disaster Management Agency (Nadma), flood hotspots are areas that have experienced flooding more than three times from 2019 to this year.
The at-risk areas are places where flooding has occurred previously. Klang has the most hotspots (14) and at-risk areas (65).
The warning comes ahead of the monsoon season. Last year, several areas in Selangor were hit by devastating flash floods, which killed 25 people. - Mkini
