Pamphlets in Suluk language urging intruders to surrende

LAHAD DATU, Feb 28 – Pamphlets in the Suluk language urging the Filipino intruders to surrender had been distributed in areas around Kampung Tanduo since yesterday but so far, the Malaysian security forces had not received any reaction from the group.
Sabah Police Commissioner Datuk Hamza Taib said there had been no feedback from the group of intruders since the pamphlets were distributed yesterday.
“I believe they had obtained the flyers,” he said at a press conference here today on the latest developments regarding efforts to end the incidents that started since the group, claiming to be members of the Royal Sulu Military, intruded into the fishermen’s settlement about 130km from here on Feb 12.
Hamza said the security forces would not hesitate to use force if any of its members were threatened.
“We don’t want them (intruders) to put our police force or security personnel in a situation where we have no choice (but to use force).” – Bernama
